The Isle of Wight Natural Therapies Trust

Aims of the Trust

The Isle of Wight Natural Therapies Trust is a small local charity, based at Watchbell House in Newport. During our eleven years we have helped more than 1,000 Islanders by offering subsidised complementary therapy treatments to people in receipt of state benefits. We provide a network of registered practitioners across the Isle of Wight in order that families, carers and individuals on low incomes may be able to access suitable treatments.  The benefits of natural or complementary therapies are well known and the physical and psychological help they offer for a wide range of conditions is increasingly recognised.

The benefits which qualify are as follows :

Income Support, Incapacity Benefit,  Disability Living Allowance, Job Seekers Allowance, Pension Credits

The therapies on offer are as follows :

Acupuncture, McTimoney Chiropractic, Homeopathy, Reflexology, Craniosacral Therapy, Remedial Massage Therapy and Nutrition

How can the Trust help you?

If you think our service may be of help to you, please contact the Trust at the address or phone number provided. Your enquiry will be treated in the strictest confidence.

How can you help us?

We are currently self-financing and desperately need to raise funds and seek support to provide a service that can offer great benefit to Islanders of all ages and backgrounds who may otherwise struggle to access to complementary therapy.

As a registered charity, there are a number of ways in which members of the public can help us achieve our aims.  For example :

•    Holding a fundraising event
•    Making us your “Charity of the Year”
•    Telling others about us
•    Offering some of your time
•    By “one-off” or regular donations - every little really does help

If you can help in any way, please telephone our Administrator, Jo Thearle, on 01983 522614. Thank you.
