3 Sea Breeze Cottages

REF NR: 2852

Three, Sea Breeze Cottages is situated on the beautiful south west coast of the Isle of Wight, in an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty", and has superb sea views. The cottage is ideally located for exploring the unspoilt West Wight countryside and seaside, with coastal and downland footpaths from the door. Hundreds of miles of footpaths and cycle ways, cliff tops, downlands, woodlands, coves, bays, chines and estuaries, including the National Trust Newtown nature reserve.  The Island is also a home to rare red squirrels and a haven for bird watchers and fossil hunters.

Three, Sea Breeze Cottages is a modern, two bedroomed, terraced cottage which has been recently completely refurbished. The accommodation, sleeping 4/5 plus a cot is well equipped and comfortably furnished for our guests to enjoy. The cottage is warmed by electric storage heating throughout.

Spacious and comfortably furnished lounge is ideal for the guests relaxing inside in front of an electric flame effect fire with a TV, DVD, CD player and a selection of games and books that we provide. The dining area has a gorgeous sea view and a high chair is available on request if needed.

The well equipped kitchen with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer is also there for you to use.

The bathroom on the ground floor provides you with bath, power shower and electric shaver point.

On the first floor you will find a main bedroom with double bed and a small balcony and a second bedroom with full sized twin beds. Both rooms offer you a sea view. A cot and an extra child's bed is available for our guests on request and bed linen and towels are provided free of charge. Choosing our Cottage you will be complimented by a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, flowers and local produce.

The communal rear grounds are grassed and are suitable for ballgames. They have attractive downland views. The front patio is equipped with garden furniture and a barbeque and is an ideal spot to enjoy the sunsets and the ships. There is ample private parking close to the building. The large fenced patio is facing the sea, the communal gardens and the ample, private parking. Access is via a wide, ramped path, suitable for wheelchairs. Sorry but no pets and no smoking inside the property. For guests arriving as foot passengers, we offer a free ferry pick-up.

The cottage is two hundred and fifty yards from the beach and coastal path, and adjacent to other local footpaths and the panoramic Military Road, which follows the coast from Blackgang to Freshwater Bay. This part of the Island is totally unspoilt, with beautiful coastal and downland scenery, attractive to walkers, golfers, cyclists, fossil hunters, surfers and extreme sports enthusiasts. It is also wonderful for families wanting a traditional, "get away from it all" seaside holiday, having miles of sandy beaches with rockpools and safe swimming.

Although it has a feeling of remoteness the cottage is half a mile from the attractive village of Brighstone, with local amenities, and seven miles from the county town of Newport, which has a wide range of shops and facilities. The amenities of picturesque Brighstone village are pleasant halves a mile walk inland. Brighstone has a grocer, newsagent, Post Office, doctors' surgery, library, two pubs, tea garden, National Trust shop, free village museum and a beautiful Norman church. Nearby Brook and Compton Bays are popular with extreme watersports enthusiasts and paragliders, but also provide safe swimming, sand, rockpools and real dinosaur footprints for younger visitors. Dinosaur Farm Museum, site of recent unique dinosaur finds, is one and a half miles away. The popular Blackgang Chine theme park and The Needles and Alum Bay are all within a 15 minute drive or accessible via a panoramic bus ride. The spectacular cliff-top Freshwater Bay Golf Club is a 5 minute drive away.

Of local historic interest are Mottistone Manor, Neolithic downland burial mounds and "The Longstone" standing stone. On Island Eye we have a history page, where you can find interesting information about the whole Island and while you are there you can also see what our beautiful Isle of Wight offers for everyone. Sport, family attractions, and exciting events are just a small part of all the entertainment you will find on the Island.

We have lived in Brighstone for twenty four years, on the Island for even longer, and would like to introduce you to a very special place. If you choose to book with us we aim to do everything we can to make your holiday a really enjoyable time.
