SARO Cutty Sark

SARO is a cute sark. The SARO A.17 cutty sark, a four-seat tourist and training amphibian, took to the skies for the first time on July 4, 1929. Two of the 12 constructed, with 145 HP AS Genet Major IA engines, were utilised by the number 3 E & RFTS operated by AST at Hamble. Of 12 built, two, with 145 hp AS Genet Major IA engines they were registered G-ACDP and G-AETI and lived until early 1942.
