German – Junkers JU88 – 7T + JH

On May 29, 1941, a Junkers 88 belonging to the 3/KG606 group was shot down by a Beaufighter that was out on patrol.

At 23:55, the crash that occurred on the JU88 claimed the lives of the whole crew. Upon impact, the aircraft caught fire, resulting in the destruction of a significant portion of the craft in the outskirts of the forest at Wellow Down in an old chalk pit.
