East Cowes Norris Castle 1808

A plate by Willaim Cooke Engraver of East Cowes Norris Castle circa 1808 which can be found in, ‘A new picture of the Isle of Wight, illustrated with thirty-six plates of the most beautiful and interesting views throughout the island in initiation of the original sketches.’ All the plates are hand drawn and this early guide became a firm favourite of vistors to the island.
