Allied – Typhoon 1B MN735

On the 7th June 1944 a Typhoon from 182 Squadron crashed at Ashen Grove farm near Calbourne. The aircraft pilot Flg – Off. W J McBean (RAAF) managed to scramble out of his aircraft unhurt.
