The Parish Council of Brighstone looks after a wide local area covering the hamlets of  Brook, Hulverstone, Limerstone and Mottistone.

Over 700 households make up the parish set in the beautiful South West coast of the Island serviced by the local coastal road call the 'Military Way' that runs from Niton in the South right up the coast through the parish and on up to Freshwater.

There are frequent buses to Newport, Freshwater and Yarmouth giving good access for shopping lcoally and on the mainland by means of the Yarmouth / Lymington car ferry, there are also very good village facilities and a strong and vibrant sense of community.
