Once the haunt of smugglers and fishermen, Blackgang Chine opened to the public in 1843. Since then, the cliff top gardens have developed over the years into being one of the most popular visitor destinations in the South of England.

The range of eccentric attractions which give surprises round each corner has brought back many thousands of visitors each year to enjoy the 40 acres of Victorian gardens, perched on the south west tip of the Isle of Wight.
