Ryde - Isle of Wight Attractions
A British seaside town Ryde is a civil parish which happens to be the most populous town and urban location on the Isle of Wight. It has a population of approximately 30,000 and is situated on the north-east coast of the Island.

Canoe Lake
Walking along the sea front towards Apply, you will come across the Victorian Boating lake which has been named Ryde Canoe Lake. During the summer months the lake is adorned with peddle boats that are constructed in the shape of a Swan. The visitor and his crew can sit back in comfort and peddle around the lake taking in the lovely scenery as they float past.
Appley and Puckpool Parks
These two lovely parks towards the Eastern end of Ryde long sea frontage, Appley park has a lovely public pitch and putt golf course, just roll up and walk around this lovely course its a joy. Towards the sea is a wonderful children's play ground, next to the apply folly a rather eccentric small fort. Walking further East you come across Puckpool park, its full of historic ruins of Palmerston's follies along with its gun emplacements and second world facets. On the other side of the park are tennis courts, children's playground, crazy golf, bowls and a really nice cafe.
The Beach
Looking for a day at the beach? Located north of Ryde Town Centre, Ryde Beach is accessible by foot or car as well as public transport or even its unusual yet pleasant “Dotto Train”. It is considered one of the Islands most popular resorts for visitors and locals alike. There are many activities that take place and you are bound to find something worthwhile to do. Whether sunbathing, kite surfing or swimming you won’t be disappointed.
