The Island for those who may not know is situated a few miles south of Portsmouth / Southampton, ferries run constantly both car and passenger, there are a couple of small airports, no bridges or rail links to the mainland are connected, at present there are 134,000 permanent residents which increases dramatically in the holiday season..
We have many nice beaches and places to just stroll about, the island is known for its coastal walks where if your keen enough you can walk around the entire coastline, stop off at numerous pubs and cafe's for a bite to eat, the whole island is crossed with hundreds of walkways inland also, quite a few cycleways as well, there are too many attractions to list here but on a rainy day you can still get out and about.
