
The main passenger and car ferry link to the Island is catered for by Wightlink. With over 5 million passengers annually makes it is one of the largest passenger carriers in the UK. The three routes undertaken by Wightlink, provide a frequent service for the millions of holidaymakers and Islanders giving easy access to and from the Island.
The Cameraman from Portsmouth to Ryde is a fast passenger route taking only 20 minutes in all. The slightly longer car ferry journeys at around 30 minutes transverse the routes of Yarmouth to Lymington moving up the picturesque river before crossing the Solent and that of more direct the Fishbourne to Portsmouth crossing; culminating in a total of over 60,00 crossings a year. On-board the car ferries journeys there are customer facilities for a light beverages and snack while you wait enjoying the Solent scenery.
