East Cowes Beach - Quality Coast Award Winner

Isle of Wight Council Head of Environment and Neighbourhoods Stuart Love said "This is great news for the Isle of Wight and further strengthens our reputation as one of the UK's top tourist destinations.

"We are dedicated to ensuring our beaches are of the highest quality. Not only do we carry out comprehensive beach cleansing we have employed beach lifeguards at Ventnor, Sandown, Shanklin and Ryde, smartened up seafronts and esplanades across the Island and also taken steps such as updating our Dog Control Orders to make it clear when and where dogs are allowed on beaches.
