Yarmouth's Old Gaffers Festival

May 31st June 1st & 2nd.  One of the most spectacular events that occur on the Isle of Wight is certainly the "Yarmouth Old Gaffers Festival"  and this year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Old Gaffers Association. 

It gathers thousands of tourists and enthusiastic participants on both shore and water. Yarmouth's colourful harbour is filled with lots and lots sailing, steam and motor vessels keeping the visitors entertained from dawn to dusk.

Throughout the day and evening there are many places where you can enjoy yourself with super live music and concerts, different competitions, delicate dishes and many other entertainments making the festival an array of attractions you can’t afford to miss! But what is really exciting are the gripping races of the old and wonderful Gaff-rigged Boats.
