2. So many controversial words have been written about the 1970 festival that its hard to be objective about it now , thirty nine years on. Its either been romanticised or condemned to such an extent that everyone's memories have been tainted by the press accounts or by seeing the long suppressed film . I know I had a fairly rosy recollection the festival tucked away in what passes for the old memory bank ,until I saw the film on TV a few years ago.
