1.  A SMUGGLING CASE. At the County Bench on Saturday before W.G Shedden, Esq. (chairman), T.T. Fowke, and C.G. Mcgregor Skinner, Esqrs., John Brown, a lad of about 16 years of age was prosecuted by the Collector of Customs at Cowes for smuggling brandy.- Mr. Bevely appeared for the Collector of Customs, and Mr. Field for the defendant.- George Weeks, chief officer of the Coast-guard station said  - On the 20th November, when at Coldwell-bay, Isle of Wight, at 11.30p.m., I saw a boat pulling towards the shore.
