Week Manor

"WEEK (Wica, xi cent.) was held by the king in 1086. It was given by Richard de Redvers, early in the 12th century, to the Benedictine abbey of Montebourg. It followed the descent of Appuldurcombe (q.v.) until the latter was sold in 1855. Week was retained by the Earl of Yarborough and passed to his second son Evelyn Cornwallis AndersonPelham, whose son Major Cecil Henry AndersonPelham is the present owner."
