The Print:

Note the small boats in the bay they are both using a "Gaff" rig very popular in the time as easily maneuverable and efficient.  Also on the top of the Tennyson down next to the left of the lighthouse you can see the Signal Station which was not there in the 1831 print.

The Brannons

George had four children, Alfred and Philip followed their father into the engraving business and were indeed very successful.  They produced not only engravings of the Island but of other local towns and cities including Southampton
