The user should choose one or several of the history icons and press "Search"  to review their results.  In oder to simplify the researchers choice we have collated the types of historic points of interest into sub groups. Please choose the "Group" menu option to assist you further in your choice of icon.

You may also use the "Area Choice" filter to further narrow the search criteria and if needed  press the "reset", which will  immediately cancel any icon selections made.

You will see a set of tabs along the top that will allow us to choose various things to do; exploring these tabs please familiarise us with the various facets of the application. The Details tab shows brief relevant details, clicking on the "more" link will bring up a further window with expanded information and source material in. 

The "Actions" tab which allows you  to "Zoom to location", "Add to My Eye", "Ask a Question", "Download a PDF"  and the new "Historic People" function, which now takes you to further information concerning famous people associated with the point of interest you have chosen.
