Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week

Cowes Week has been running since 1826 and is one of the longest running sporting events in UK sporting history. Today the week caters for around 1000 boats and is classified as one of the largest sailing regattas in the world. It has over 8,000 competitors and 100,000 visitors all enjoying great racing, super parties and evening entertainments to suit all-comers. 

This year the main sponsor is again Aberdeen Asset Management and event organisers, Cowes Week Limited, will be staging over 40 daily races for the fleet who are made up of Olympic and world champions as well as many weekend sailors all taking part in a level playing field.
 

Areas to visit

• One of the areas to visit is that Cowes Yacht Haven, with hours of lively entertainment.
   
• Shepards Wharf Marina next to the floating bridge acts as one of the main crew quarters, with breakfasts available from 8am daily and super food available throughout the day.
   
• Cowes Parade is full of activities throughout each day and into the evening with fabulous food and a purpose-built event “village”.
